The short version. These terms cover working with All Things IT and the text messages we send. Our software has its own License Agreement, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. All Things IT texts only people who agreed to it, only about their service, never for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

1. Our services
All Things IT ("we", "us") provides IT consulting and support to businesses. The scope, schedule and price of any piece of work are as agreed with you in a quote or written agreement. Where that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.
2. Software
Use of software applications we provide, such as Blackstack, is governed by our End User License Agreement.
3. Fees
Fees are as agreed in writing. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are due on receipt.
4. SMS Terms
Program. All Things IT sends text messages to our business clients, and to the people who use software we run for them, about their service with us: support request and appointment updates, outage, backup and security alerts, and account notices from our applications. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
How you opt in. You agree to receive texts from All Things IT by telling us, usually during a support or onboarding call. Our technician reads this script, word for word:
"Can All Things IT text you at this number about your service with me? That is support request and appointment updates, outage, backup and security alerts, and account notices from the software I run for you, never marketing. How often depends on your service. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. My Terms and Conditions are at allthingsit.cc/terms.html and my Privacy Policy is at allthingsit.cc/privacy.html. By saying yes, you agree to receive these texts and you accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Do you agree?"
We add your number only if you say yes, and we record the number, the date, who agreed, and that the script was read. Then we send this confirmation text:
"All Things IT: you're signed up for service and account texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Terms: allthingsit.cc/terms.html Privacy: allthingsit.cc/privacy.html Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
Frequency. Message frequency varies with your service activity.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any text from All Things IT. We confirm once and send nothing more. Reply START to sign up again.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, All Things IT is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from our services or messages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services in question in the twelve months before the claim.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah. Before filing any claim, each of us agrees to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where we have a way to reach you, let you know.
